As Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) volunteers reflect on another year of extraordinary service to their communities, the organisation is proud to present our 2025 year in review media showreel. This annual showcase celebrates the dedication and resilience of our volunteers right across the state, as captured by TV media.

This year’s showreel shines a spotlight on the remarkable efforts of our incredible VICSES volunteers and staff during some of the most challenging responses, from protracted storm events, tornadoes, flooding and a countless rescue operations, as well as major proactive campaigns including Wear Orange Wednesday, Women in Rescue and the Driver Reviver road safety initiative, the 2025 showreel features a comprehensive reflection of the diverse roles each of our volunteers play in keeping Victorians safe, and the breadth of our commitment to both emergency response and community preparedness.

Importantly, 2025 marked a milestone in our history: VICSES’ 50th anniversary. Throughout the year, we celebrated five decades of service and paid tribute to the thousands of past and present volunteers who have built VICSES into one of Victoria’s most trusted and respected emergency services. Whether it be performing life-saving rescues, clearing storm damaged roads , volunteering their time to train or prepare their communities for emergencies, our volunteers have done so with great pride in 2025, a sentiment reflected in the extensive media coverage seen throughout the year..

From everyone at VICSES, please enjoy the festive season safely and have a very happy 2026. Thank you for standing with us, and thank you to every VICSES member for your unwavering commitment to protecting Victorian communities.
